How can we evoke a state of focus after an extended period of disruption?

‘The Search for Singularity’ draws the observer into a sensory ecosystem, systematically narrowing their attention until it arrives at a state of Being.

Aerial Palettes constructed a four-stage immersive experience as part of Arena* 2023 by Design Hotels. The intention was to incrementally remove the intensity of the outside world, before guests were welcomed to a dinner catered by Otto Berlin.

Stage One: Organic Awakening

A meticulously crafted microcosm constructed out of forage materials, ‘Organic Awakening’ brings the focus down to the smaller details. The bespoke soundscape, created by Makrinova, is complimented by the living nature of this installation which perfumes the surroundings.

Stage Two: Cloudy Turbulence

An intersectional moment; moving from the organic to the synthetic. A surrealist environment playing on the idea of constructed artefacts existing amongst nature, whilst luring the mind away from reality.
