Vaagnar was established in 2018 by Oscar Rohleder and is dedicated to releasing vinyl- and cassette-based works by a diverse range of both established and emerging artists. Sonically, the label explores the realms of textural ambient, field recordings, and the more delicate facets of industrial noise. Over time, it has become synonymous with some of the most forward-thinking contemporary ambient musicians from around the world.

Aerial Palettes invited the label to co-curate a weekend of ambient live performances for the second weekend of The Anatomy of an Idea at Wehrmuehle Museum.
